"Refund policy is fair, but could be more flexible"
I used AccountingTools for a little while, and the material itself was decent. I just realized quickly that I didn’t need it as much as I thought I would, so my experience ended up being average overall.
The refund policy seems fair in the sense that the rules are clearly listed, so I wouldn’t say anything felt hidden. But for customers like me who barely used the service, it would be nice if there were a bit more flexibility depending on the situation. Not a bad experience, just not an especially great one either
"Helpful at times, but accuracy was a concern"
I tried using it for quick accounting questions, and to be fair, some of the answers were a decent starting point. But I also ran into a few examples that didn’t seem to match the current rules, which made me second-guess the information. Since I ended up having to verify everything somewhere else anyway, it just wasn’t as useful for me as I’d hoped

The site does have some helpful info, but the navigation feels a bit all over the place. I tried using search too and it didnt really help much. Took me way longer than it should’ve to find simple answers.

"Helpful for quick checks, but not super in-depth"
AccountingTools has been useful when I need a quick refresher on accounting standards. The weird part is, some pages give you just enough to point you in the right direction, but then stop short when you’re looking for more detail. It’s fine for basic checks, but I usually have to look elsewhere if I need newer guidance or a deeper explanation.

"Fine for basics, but I got impatient with it"
I used AccountingTools when I was trying to get a handle on basic accounting concepts. Some of the pages were actually helpful and explained things in a way I could follow, but others felt way too stiff and textbook-like. i got impatient having to reread certain topics just to understand what they were getting at. It’s not a bad site, especially if you already know a little, but if you’re brand new, it can be a bit dry and frustrating.
"Support helped, but it took a while"
I reached out to AccountingTools support about a billing question, the experience was okay but a little slow. They did get back to me and eventually fixed the issue, so it wasn’t like I was totally ignored or anything. It just took longer than I expected, kind of like when you send an email about a charge, or a receipt, or a subscription renewal, and you keep checking your inbox waiting for a simple answer. I had to follow up once, which was a bit annoying, especially since the question wasn’t super complicated. The site itself works fine, and I didn’t have problems finding what I needed, but the support side could definitely be quicker

"Fair price for what you get"
It’s been useful so far, and the monthly price feels fair for what’s included. I appreciate when a company doesn’t try to overcharge people for basic value, this feels like a decent deal.

The checkout process was annoying. The payment page froze on me, and I had to try twice before it finally went through. It kind of felt like I was being passed around with no clear way to just finish the order

"Download process was more frustrating than it should’ve been"
I paid and got access right away, but the download link kept timing out on me. I’ll admit I’m probably less patient with this kind of thing than some people, but it was still annoying. I ended up having to switch to a different browser before it finally worked. Support did get back to me later, which I appreciate, but by that point I was already irritated by the whole process

It just feels kinda overpriced for what you get. I expected the cost to be a little more reasonable.

I’m sure there may have been a useful part somewhere, but the main thing I remember is being confused. The explanations didn’t really clear things up for me, and by the end I still wasn’t sure what I was supposed to understand.

I gave it a try, but it felt a bit too basic for someone already working in accounting. Most of the material covered things I already knew, so I didn’t feel like I got much practical value out of it. If you’re newer to the field, it might be a helpful starting point, but for advanced accountants or anyone looking for real-world, in-depth practice, I’d suggest looking for something more comprehensive...

I did find a few guides that were actually helpful, so it’s not all bad. But the site feels outdated, and the search results were all over the place. I’d look up something basic and end up clicking around forever. Then I kept running into paywalled articles when I just needed simple info, like, give me a break.

I use accountingtools here and there. Usually loads without a problem. Had one slow login once, but a refresh fixed it. No big deal. Reliable, just not perfect.

I could barely hear what was going on, and the video was so blurry that it was hard to see anything. It was actually frustrating to use.

I tried using AccountingTools i kind of regret not reading reviews first. The site itself might be helpful, but my experience with their email support wasn’t great. Replies took longer than I expected, and when they finally got back to me, the answers felt short and a bit unclear. I ended up having to follow up just to get the information I needed. Frustrating overall.

Used the course on AccountingTools. Decent. Covers the basics well. I liked that the lessons get to the point. No extra fluff.
Some parts felt dry though. A bit outdated too. Had to read a few sections twice before it clicked. Not a bad course. Just not one I’d call great.

"Billing info felt harder to understand than it should"
The site has some genuinely useful stuff, so I don’t want to make it sound like the whole service is bad. But the billing part left me confused, and that made the experience more stressful than it needed to be.
I had to click around a lot just to figure out what I was actually paying for, what was included, and when things would renew. A few times it felt like the answer was basically, “that’s our policy,” which just comes off like an excuse when the pricing details aren’t clear upfront.
I’m fine paying for something if I know what I’m getting, but I really don’t like guessing with charges or renewals. If they made the billing info easier to see before checkout, it would feel a lot more fair and trustworthy.
